Product Description

Pack of 30 live vetiver grass plants (Chrysopogon zizanioides a.k.a. Vetiveria zizanioides). Vetiver is a low cost and efficient system, used in nearly 100 countries, for soil and water conservation, infrastructure stabilization, pollution control, waste water treatment, mitigation, and prevention of storm damage and many other environmental applications.

Planted at the recommended 6-inch separation (center to center), each pack will cover 15 linear feet.

These plugs are commercial quality and greenhouse grown on potting mix (Sphagnum peat moss and mineral aggregates) and are shipped with a 4 to 5 inch long root ball and blades trimmed to about 5 inches. Plants are removed from the reusable plastic trays and packed in boxes. Enough humidity and a moisture barrier will ensure safe arrival to any USA destination.

Upon receipt, plants must be removed from the boxes, kept cool and moist, and planted within one week of arrival. Periodic irrigation is recommended in dry soils during the first three months. See custom help pages in seller profile for additional vetiver information.
